DC SUMMER CARNIVAL RFK STADIUM FESTIVAL GROUNDS
JULY 9-17, 2011
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The DC Summer Carnival, featuring more than 100 thrilling rides, games and attractions, will be held on the RFK Stadium Festival Grounds July 8-17. For 10 days, carnival attendees can enjoy affordable family entertainment weekdays from 5 p.m. to midnight and Saturdays and Sundays from noon to midnight.
The carnival’s main attraction is the Mega Drop — a drop tower ride that rises to 130 feet. Adventurous festival goers can enjoy this exhilarating ride as they are released at the top, dropped to the ground and caught by the ride’s magnetic breaking system. Rides also include the Alpine Bobs, Zipper, Super Loops, Orbiter, Giant Wheel, old favorites like the Tilt-a-Whirl and Merry-Go-Round and a host of other rides for both children and adults.
In addition to spine-tingling rides, the DC Summer Carnival offers traditional carnival favorite foods such as funnel cakes, candy apples, cotton candy, pizza, popcorn and special treats such as fried Oreos and fried candy bars.
Unlimited ride passes and wristbands are available for $20 (Monday-Thursday) and $25 (Friday-Sunday) and can be purchased at the carnival entrance every day. Individual tickets are 20-for-$20 or 4-for-$5.
RFK Stadium is easily accessible by Metrorail on the Blue and Orange lines (Stadium-Armory station) and numerous bus lines. On-site parking is available in Lot 7 for $5. For additional information about the DC Summer Carnival and a special $4 discount coupon, please visit www.wadeshows.com.
What is a phone number I can call? and I am not sure about the pricing is it $20 per person?
