On Saturday, March 19, 2011, I was contacted by the owners of Roadside Café (2101 benning road NE Washington, DC 20002). I informed the owners that as the ANC Commissioner for Kingman Park, I sent the business three (3) letters to reach out to the owners. I did not get a response from the owner until Saturday. It would have been beneficial to the community if the owners had contacted the community before opening this establishment. This did not happen, so moving forward here is some of the information from my notes taken from the conversations with the owners. The owners would like to schedule a tour/meeting to discuss the Community concerns and or issues with the restaurant. This will take place sometime in April. I will update the community by email, fliers and the community website once a date and time is scheduled.
