From Councilmember Phil Mendelson (at 1:04 on the MP3 recording) “I admit that Kingman Park has been disadvantaged by being in Ward 7.”

Email sent to Mr. Jerry from CM Mendelson:

I don’t understand why you state that Ward 7 residents are being ignored..
I am scheduled to speak at the Ward 7 Democrats meeting this Saturday, 10am,
at Sargent Memorial Presbyterian Church (5109 NHB Ave., NE).Further, there has been very, very little comment from Ward 7 (East of theRiver) residents about redistricting, while every meeting in Ward 6 has been
attended by 100-300 residents. Councilmembers are receiving hundreds –
literally hundreds – of emails from Ward 6 residents regarding
redistricting, while few, if any, from Ward 7 residents except Kingman Park.
